Qualifications:

1. All participants inducted into the ASA, NSA, or USSSA State or National Hall of fame will automatically be inducted into the Columbus Slo-Pitch Softball Hall of Fame at the central committee's discretion.

2. All nominees must have resided in the area proper while participating.

3. Any male from 1970 and female from 1975 and forward may be inducted.

4. Any formerly involved people now deceased may be nominated and/or inducted.

5. Any player must have participated in at least five (5) state tournaments and/or five (5) regional or national tournaments.

6. Players - must be retired from active status. Once they reach 40 years of age may be placed on the regular ballot. 

7. Umpires - must have been an active umpire for a minimum of ten (10) years and umpired in at least one (1) state, regional or national tournament.

8. Manager - must have been a manager for a minimum of five (5) years and managed in at least one (1) state, regional or national tournament.

9. Commissioner - must have been an ASA, NSA, USSSA commissioner for a minimum of five (5) years.

10. Meritorious Service - nominations will be considered and selections will be made on their own merit.

11. Any combination of all the above will be considered for selection.

12. Veterans Category - minimum of one (1) nominee must be inducted from the Veterans Category (1958-1979) each year beginning in the year 1998.

13. All nominees must be screened by the five (5) person central committee before being place on the ballot.

14. The inductees between the years 2012-2024, are the men, women, or veterans who receive the top five (5) votes each year regardless of category. Every 3rd year (2012, 2015, 2018, 2021, 2024), the female nominee with the highest number of cumulative votes in a three (3) year period will be inducted.
